Why A Hair Care Regimen Is Important

In order to reach your hair goals you must have a plan. Many women want longer healthier hair but they lack a solid hair care regimen to reach their goals. All you need is one day a week (depending on your hair’s needs) to make your hair dreams come true.

Where To Start

The best place to start when creating a hair care regimen is taking notes. You need to assess your hair’s needs first in order to strategically map out a plan. Is your hair dry? If it is, you need to jot down some reasons as to why you think your hair may be dry. Here’s an example:

  1. Too much heat
  2. Using a sulfate shampoo
  3. Not enough moisturizing

This list should follow up with ways you plan to combat your hair’s dryness

  1. Reduce heat
  2. Buy a sulfate free shampoo
  3. Moisturize your hair more often

From here you should be able to move onto your product shopping list….

  1. Sulfate Free Shampoo
  2. Hooded Dryer, Diffuser, Rollers, ect (for low heat or heatless hairstyles)
  3. Moisturizer that contains natural ingredients that penetrate the hair shaft for lasting moisture.

A Regimen For Each Hair Goal and Style

I recently decided to create a hair care regimen for each hairstyle and hair goal that I want to achieve. I find that following a detailed regimen is the best way for me to care for my hair. It helps me to stay on track and not get in the way of myself. If you want to see my hair care regimens click here!

Here’s a list of different hair care regimens that you may want to create.

  • Wash & Go Regimen
  • Hair Straightening Regimen
  • Roller Set Regimen
  • Hair Growth Regimen
  • Protective Styling Regimen

and what ever else type of “regimen” you want to create.

If you’re anything like me, and find writing things down helpful then this will work well for you. When it comes to hair, it can be somewhat of a science project. Just find a regimen that works well for you and stick with it. If you need to adjust your regimen a little to improve your hair’s condition that’s fine too.

Oh and don’t forget to take pictures or describe the state of your hair in complete detail when you first start. In the future, this will help to look back and see how far you’ve come! Hope this helps anyone that’s struggling with starting a hair care regimen. If you found this useful please do not hesitate to share by choosing one of the following options provided below.

Happy Hair Growing!
