Nairobi Wrapp-It Shine Foaming Lotion Ingredients & Review

Nairobi Wrapp-It Shine Foaming Lotion, 8 Ounce

Nairobi products have never failed me in the past so when it came to buying the the Nairobi Wrapp It Shine Foaming Lotion I could not be more excited. I remember using the setting lotion years ago in the salon but I never had the chance to use the foaming lotion.

I stumbled across this product after watching someone set their hair with it on a YouTube. That reminded me of how perfect wraps and sets would come out after using it on clients, so I defiantly had to try it! There was only one issue……where the hell was the ingredients?????

I searched online and came across their website but the link that said “ingredients” listed only three things: Dimethicone Copolyol, Polysorbate-20, and Quaternium.

Now, I’m not an ingredient expert but, I knew that only three ingredients couldn’t be accurate. So I set out to do a little research online and came up with nothing, nada, zilch……

What was I to do? I already knew that in the past the setting lotion delivered awesome wet sets and, the history alone was enough for me to purchase it but, what if it had Parabens, or something else that I wasn’t aware of? I decided to go ahead with my purchase in hopes that the ingredients would be posted on the container itself or somewhere in the shipping contents.

When I received my package it was tightly wrapped in plastic without the ingredients on the container or within the packaging so I had no other choice but to call the company.

A very nice lady answered the phone and I explained why I was calling. She seemed a bit busy but was still kind. She told me that the ingredients were on the website. I told her I looked at the website and I was not satisfied with the ingredient list because it seemed to be incomplete.

At this point, I started to get a little concerned that the Nairobi company didn’t want their product ingredients public because one of two things. There was something shady going on with the ingredients or, two, they wanted to hide the ingredients to prevent someone from copying and selling their products.

With that being said, I told the woman on the phone my concerns and she finally told me where to find the full ingredient list. It WAS on their website but it was not under the ingredient tab. It was under the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) tab.

The Review

Okay, so now that we’ve got the ingredients out of the way, onto the review! The Nairobi Wrapp It Shine Foaming Lotion is great! It performed better then any foaming lotion that I’ve ever used. I will list the Pro’s and Con’s below
Pro’s
  • Easy pump bottle.
  • Easy application. It had a bit of slip to it so it was easy to comb through and set my wet hair.
  • Super fast delivery (2days)
  • Made hair very soft and shiney
  • Drying time seemed to be quicker
  • Has a heat protected within the ingredients

Con’s

  • The price was 11.99 on Amazon and I could not compare the price locally because I could not find it! However it’s cheaper on Amazon then it is on the official website.
  • Not having the ingredients listed on the container.
Overall, I would definitely buy this again. My wet set came out great and my hair dried quickly under the hooded dryer. I’m glad I came across this product line again. I may try other things from Nairobi but only after I check the ingredients first!
